Is it possible to get addicted to xanax?
 

I've been taking it for about 8 months now on a daily basis. I am sensing my body getting used to it

One of the most effective benzos there is , unfortunately its also one of the most addictive and abused drugs in its class...be careful when and if you stop taking it. I would advise against stopping cold turkey you may suffer even more anxiety than you may have had originally. Good luck with that.

see if your doc will slowly knock you down, put you on klonopin and ativan first or something, definitely don't try to just quit altogether

no seriously. i took it for about a month and a half and the coming off of it is absolutely hellish.

i wouldn't wish it on anyone.

highly. your body is already addicted. dont immediately stop, you need to take klonopin or ativan for a few days then stop. i know this sounds crazy, but you need to get a doctor to help you. coming off xanax is no joke.
