first you need to clarify and understand a few things.
TGP's at first were evil vile sites that sucked money from you without your consent. Long ago we used to build free sites and the standard format was a warning page, a main page, two gallery pages, and pictures on html pages. Of course everything was plastered with ads and often blind links.
Then along came some TGP's who just listed your gallery pages by passing your warning and your main pages without your consent. This often hurt as bandwidth was fucking expensive and many tgp surfers were leaches or at least we thought they were. Mind you webmasters not only paid for the bandwidth but they also had to buy the content.
People began to figure out how to make money off of the TGP sites and then the TGP sites began to take submissions as well but they wanted their own rules as webmasters had flipped the script on many TGP sites and were setting their pages up with dialers and the like when TGP's were just hotlinking your gallery pages. Eventually people started to leave the free sites in general and began to submit 1 gallery page to TGP sites and follow their rules which evolved to no more pics on HTML pages and limited ads.
Zango on the other hand falls in line with what was back in the day toolbars and crap that swaped your affiliate codes or basically stole your traffic. Theft is theft and this sucked hard however most did so via trickery though swaping out your free counter script with new code or some shit. You did not see straight out promotion of many toolbars for awhile like you do with Zango. Not to mention mainstream did not promote evil toolbars so much and the ones that they did install rarely fucked with adult. Though there was some programs that had toolbar install affiliate programs.
Tubes on the other hand are again a tool that could be used for nice promotion for everyone or straight out evil in the quest for traffic numbers to grow ones e-penis. If the users kept it like the MGP format nobody would have even raised an eyebrow. However they decided for the most part to use a small loophole in the copyright law to allow themselves the ability to rip off other peoples content and profit off of it until caught. Then they could just say sorry, remove it for the time being until someone else stole it again and they again get caught. The main problem here is not the site itself, it is the content theft that is going on.
Sure people would not like it if someone opened up a legit tube site, purchased 1000 DVD titles and just gave away the scenes but then again it would be perfectly legit. People would complain about the size of the scenes and such given away for free or how easy it would be for kids to watch them etc. Yet the theft issue would not come up and again it would of been accepted.
