I think you should say: "Hi, I am (name) and i am an irish-american, african-american, italian-american, or whatever you might be... I think this will alleviate the potential of peopl making jokes, comments, or anything that may imply that you are a racist...

on a side note: i am soooo fucking sick of people getting all bent out of shape over a slip of the tongue...

i live in america and i believe in the constitution.. i am an american by birth, but i am not a native american... if i dont like the country i live in, i have every right to go back to my descendents country of origin....

if you are not a native american (american indian) and dont like the way things are in this country, then get the fuck out...
