Can the Giants pull it off

Just asking , I thought they were done against the Cowboys.
Any thoughts......

Scott McD 01-19-2008 08:05 AM

After the last game why not ?

Although i wouldn't put money on them...

Wolfy 01-19-2008 08:51 AM

Go PAck Go!

Forest 01-19-2008 09:01 AM

they are 8-0 on the road 0 turn overs in the last 2 playoff games

the spread last I checked the pack was favored by only 6.5 points

I think the giants CAN do it.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shaze 01-19-2008 09:36 AM

LilBro 01-19-2008 10:07 AM

depends on which Eli shows up...

Zuzana Designs 01-19-2008 10:11 AM

I'm going for the packers :)

Minte 01-19-2008 10:14 AM

On any sunday..but I think this sunday will belong to Greenbay. They are healthy, the running game is in great shape,#4's record in cold weather is impressive and it's going to be very cold at Lambeau tomorrow. Factor in about 60,000 drunk Packer fans screaming at the top of their lungs everytime the Giant offense is on the field.
NewYork will have their work cut out for them.

bobby666 01-19-2008 10:38 AM

sorry i have no idea

farkedup 01-19-2008 10:42 AM

Packers will win by double digits.... Bad Eli is overdue for his appearance, besides they're at least as shocked as we are about last week so this week they'll come crashing down thinking they've already made it far enough.

There will be 4 INT's in this game, not saying how that'll be divided LMAO you never know with Favre!

MetaMan 01-19-2008 10:47 AM

Anything is possible and by now you have to know not to count them out,

but in reality the Packers at home? i do not see them doing it. The packers are still also really underated imo. People still think they should not be there just like the Giants.

I am just glad Dallas is out talk about a bunch of overrate bums.

I pretty much agree with everything you said.....Bad Eli is waaay overdue :)

I predict a Giants - Patriots Superbowl.:2 cents:

CDSmith 01-19-2008 11:28 AM

It was just nice to see certain cowboys fans finally shut up and put out of their misery. :D

Funny thing is, I bet that had they won instead of the Giants, the spread would show the cowgirls as the favorites, not Green Bay. Yet the Giants win, and are still the underdogs in this game. The oddsmakers work in mysterious ways.

I say Cheeseville wins by 10, no matter which Eli shows up.

Fap 01-19-2008 12:18 PM

ny pride, lets go giants

I agree with that

CDSmith 01-20-2008 09:36 AM

Only hours to go til we find out who's right.

Let's see which FAVRE shows up. The guy (and the rest of the pack) who tanked in the cold at Chicago recently, or the guy (and team) from last week that kicked ass in the cold of their home field.

I say experience wins out at clutch time.

JA$ON 01-20-2008 09:41 AM

Elli will not have a pro bowl type game. The reason they are 9 - 1 on the road is that is does not play well in the cold and wind of the Meadowlands (and we all know todays weather will be like NY's only on steroids). That being said, if he doesnt turn the ball over and has a avg game, the Giants have a chance. Its all up to the NY D line. Favre throws picks trying to thread the needle, its his weakness. If the NY D line has a great game....they are in it. If the line falls apart, Pack by 18.

It's to cold to play football in Green Bay.

The fans attending that game are fucking insane.

Atleast the players have heated benches, jet cannon heaters, special heated equipment, running around keeps you warm, etc.

They keep talking about it from a players perspective what about the fans I ask?

Minte 01-20-2008 10:28 AM

I'm nearly 100 miles south of Greenbay and I just went outside to see how cold it really is. The sun is shining, the temp is currently 1 degree and it's ridiculously cold. After being inside for nearly 20 minutes my fingers are still numb.

CDSmith 01-20-2008 10:32 AM

Ha, it's -39 C here with the wind right now.

I'll take GB weather any day.

Edit: wouldn't want to sit in the stands for a 3 hour game in +1 F though. :D

You get yourself a winter coat that is good to -50, a pair of arctic fur-lined mitts, felt-lined snowmobile boots, longjohns, a warm hat, a scarf for your face, and one of them battery powered heated seat-liners to keep your ass thawed out...

and smuggle some moonshine in with you.

Any fan at the GB game that follows this advice has a good shot at survival.

I wanted snow. Nowadays they heat the field frpm underneath so it wont freeze. 20 years ago it would have been harder than contrete.

CDSmith 01-20-2008 11:02 AM

I've always wondered why Green Bay didn't just build a domed stadium decades ago. I mean really, if any team needed one it's the Packers, yet all the nice warm domes are in southern cities.

You yanks are a curious lot. :D

Though the cold weather pussy in me agrees, a dome in Green Bay would cheapen the history and experience that is Packer football. One only needs to step inside Lambeau to understand.

They can keep the field, and the name.

Just put a dome over it. :D
