How often do you clean your place and vaccuum?
 

For guys who are single and don't have a housekeeping service or help of a wife/gf to clean for you, how often do you actually clean your place and how LONG does it take you to do it? I am curious about the frequency AND duration of your cleaning process.

Every couple of days. Thats only because we get sock fluff on the carpet. Otherwise I think it needs doing 1 x per week and you should dust at least every 2-3 days.

Well I clean my place once a week. general cleaning but as a full house cleaning every month.

once a week/ one up to two hours

once a week or so, sometimes it can take me two or three weeks to get it done... takes about an hour, only got a small place so not much dirt can hide there :)

We have a cleaner come every week. I suck at cleaning.

With me I wait until it looks like I should be profiled on Oprah. Then I spend about 100 hours cleaning.

Yes ! We have a cat that gets hair everywhere ! If we don't vacuum, clean then place, it gets really bad. So was has to be done, must be done... :winkwink:

Yeah and I got a cat that I have never once seen use the litter box. I'll let you imagine the rest.

Let's just say I had to buy a professional carpet cleaning machine, which is great to have anyway. Everyone with animals should get one instead of renting them.

I keep it clean, i personally hate to live dirty and in an area thats all cluttered up.
So beng ohnest i spend roughly 20-30 mins per day to keep it clean.

Nothing worse then bringing back a girl after a night out and you open the door and it stinks.

I have a Roomba and hardwood floors, so I run it just about daily. Just let the fucker travel around the house.

I'm a young male in a house with four other students, and am considered the "housewife" because I do a thorough vacuum of my room and all the communal areas (hallways, kitchen, bathroom, living room) every week or so, and mop the bathroom floor, kitchen floor and then clean most of my kitchen work surfaces and oven hob...

...which all leads to the lack of sex and girlfriend that I currently endure.

I've got one of those too. I thought it was stupid at first but now I wouldn't know what to do without it.

Once a week in the rooms I use daily. The rooms that are rarely used maybe once every 2-3 weeks. Dust still somehow manages to accumulate in a closed room. :(

Spend about 15 mins doing dishes, etc. daily...

SPend about 1 hour to 90 minutes "cleaning" once a week.

I spend like 1 hour every morning cleaning up, dishes, making bed etc.....and the cleaning lady comes every second week for the big clean up!

Can't wait to live in the Caribbean and have a live in maid! :)

vaccuum once a week and i clean up after myself so there usually isn't a mess unless i've had people over.

You actually make the bed? For me it makes no difference because you sleep in it every night so it will get "unmade" again.

I don't really dust to be honest. I have a hard time just getting shit off the floor, like papers, opened envelopes, junk mail, books, clothes...

I used to have a weekly maid service come in and clean but I STILL had to get all my junk OFF the carpet so they could vacuum it; I mean they clean, but they don't ORGANIZE your stuff because they don't know what is junk to throw and what to keep, especially paperwork etc so I find a service doesn't help me as much.

It takes me 15 min to vacuum maybe but so much longer to get everything off the floor and organize it and organize papers that are everywhere.

When ever it needs it, Roomba does the vacuuming, and then I use a real upright vacuum once a month or so for a better deep cleaning.

I clean the main areas like living room, hallways, kitchen, etc, regularly (twice a week) and takes me about 1hr.. but there are some places like my bedroom that I will clean either when I expect guests or it becomes difficult to work across the room.
