PornHub good or bad? who owns them? this is what I found out.
 

I haven't looked into PornHub. I *hear* there is copyrighted content on their site. Anyone who owns content that is listed on pornhub can confirm this?


If you people want to own a program and a tube site that has copyrighted content on it, fine. Just be upfront about it. At least Brett from SammySmack admitted they own Rude.com.

There is a lot of whois and other stuff tieing brazzers and juggcash and pornhub together. I think the fact they used the same physical addresses at some point is proof enough the same people own both sites.

Also what was interesting to find out was that Gary Kremen was on the whois for pornhub from 2006-05-31 to 2007-01-15 and it looks like it went straight from him to brazzers.com.

I don't know, at a quick glance it looks like most of the clips are 2 to 3 minutes long, with links back to affiliate programs.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but the videos I'm seeing on there are 2-3 minutes each and all have links under the vids to the paysites they came from. Isn't this acceptable to most sponsors?

Hey if that is the case and they either are using sponsor's approved content or *real* homemade amateur content (no copyrighted stuff) more power to them. I was contacted by someone saying the sites are owned by the same people. I read a post a month ago where a lot of people said their stolen content was on pornhub. If they changed things then that is great, more power to them. I never said they had stolen content on their site today, just what i was told and what i read in a post from last month.

I just took a quick look on their homepage and a bit around and generally, I haven't seen any videos longer than 3:30 minutes and they all had links to the respective sponsors. Looks like they cleaned shop to me.

Well that answers my personal question which was in the title of this thread, (good or bad ? ) they are a good tube if they review uploads and no copyrighted content is on their site. congrats to them for listening to people and cleaning up the site.

The site cleaned up a lot after the threads on GFY linking the two companies. They originally had a shitload of stolen content on the site and tons of full length movies. I remember seeing full length Melissa Midwest videos on the homepage (10 minutes plus).

i know one major company (internet) that sends out DMCA and legal threats to ANY tube site.....and that is because they ONLY want their movies featured on their own tube site, which features full length movies and sends all traffic to AFF and shit like that

so that's the game now - create a tube site based on stolen content, build up massive traffic, get caught - then go legit.

in this industry of scoundrels you can get away with it and worse.

it is the opposite for a lot of people, build up legit traffic, then when sales start to decline start tube and stolen content sites and advertise dating and cams

It certainly was one of the best porn video sites... but not anymore! I just don't get it - why must there always be someone to screw up the good things?! In my opinion, you have taken the essence of pornhub.. the length of the videos. It is one of the very few pornsites i've been that has 1 hour videos for free. That made it so special, the material was great. I'm afraid you are going to loose a lot of public.
It's a shame..

Yes I came accross a couple of our vids on there, and was initially pissed off until I saw a nice big link back to our site. So no problems here they can use our vids any time in that case :thumbsup
