To be honest, the first set was done with more experimentation under my belt. I would hope they would be better.

I like the third pic in your first set. Is that the Playboy suite? What a view.

Movement of objects like water/steam etc can be easily achieved by using a slower shutter speed.

An easy example is head/tail lights on a freeway - just lower the shutter to 1/8th of a second or so and you have that long light drag effect.
