Exclusive! - XTube cancels all Webmaster Uploads indefinately
After careful deliberation, XTube has now stopped accepting approved webmaster uploads indefinately. We apologize to all the webmasters who use our system for traffic and revenue and wish you luck in the future!
Webmasters, Due to several circumstances that have come to our attention, ALL WEBMASTER UPLOADS HAVE BEEN PUT ON AN INDEFINATE HOLD. I repeat: ALL WEBMASTER UPLOADS HAVE BEEN PUT ON AN INDEFINATE HOLD. XTube has come to this decision after months of deliberation, user imput, sponsor input, etc. We would like to apologize for the inconvenience and wish all our webmasters the best in the future. Thanks for all your efforts. |
uh oh. no more gravy train.
|
is it because they got their ass handed to them at internext?
|
it's probably because they want to go down the megarotic route as hinted by the increasing number of webcam/dating ads and less ads for selling premium site memberships.
expect more and more stolen content on xtube. |
Have to pay the hospital bill for your Internext rep?

and that's just a begining ... next redtube, pornottube, youporn etc ...
|
@fuckingfuck - you talk out of your ass, go find our "We're selling Membership" section. Our revenue comes the sale of XTube money and purchase of DVDs. As for selling ads - ads.xtube.com
Is it really popular to generalize shit you dont know about these days |
Lets see next year if we are still making revenue. Its a good thing our revenue is not dependant on Webmaster uploads and dependant on DVD's

Actually I would like to have a discussion about the program owners. How does all this stolen content get....well.... stolen? Maybe 100 gig member sections with no DRM. Yeah its our fault you left your doors open to your own customers. Not like we sent them there
|
Question, who here has implemented DRm, and how has it affected your sales. Just kind of curious

Shawn Fanning - Napster Creator... Where is he now
In 2003, Fanning opened a new company, SNOCAP, along with Jordan Mendelson and Ron Conway. The company aims to be a legitimate marketplace for digital media. In December 2006, Fanning developed Rupture, a social networking tool designed to handle the task of publishing gamers' individual profiles to a communal space and facilitating communication between World of Warcraft players. @dig420 kinda hurts when your own insults make you dig yourself into a hole |
sooner or later the tide will turn against the tubes and the rules about user uploaded content and DMCA will change. then i'll see them coming here and positing things so confidently and calling others "ass"

Leaves door open tonight for the house. My wife hates it when she has to get the keys out of her purse.

SO now only "surfers" can upload stolen content? Like it's going to make a difference..
|
@Sebatian
There will be no more professional content what so ever unless it is discussed with the sponsor directly from XTube. If you don't want your webmasters to send you traffic from tube sites, then that is your perogative. |
Obviously, this decision had something to do with Internext.

heres how to decrypt this post.
due to the fact that if we monitor for what webmasters are uploading it proves that we do monitor our network. being that the lawyers say that in order to not get our asses handed to us in court someday we can't monitor our content for anyone uploading. we are throwing you to wind, but should we ever need you again, we'll be back to tell you how good you all are and how much you mean to us. we are pursuing a market that is dying. its all about dvds baby. don't believe that crap that dvd is dying. btw, are you the guy that got the 10.00 per hour marketing job that they were advertising for on youtube? |
So does that mean you will be removing all of the previously uploaded content from your system?

Actually... just to bring you up to speed... a lot of programs tested the idea of DRM software when it first came into the adult space. The problem did not come from a decrease in sales. It came in a decrease of retention which is obviously a huge problem. A lot of us understood early on how important DRM could be for the future of our biz but not enough time was spent educating surfers on how to move through the DRM'd products. It was easier to remove the DRM (which was a lot of work) then to get the surfers on board with it. |
This guy seems bitter about the decision.

I know people think this industry is just about keyboard warriors and threats. Personally I can give a rats ass about those thoughts. Laws will change, hope you are ready to evolve or die just as well. Specially if either your loophole vanishes or that if by some chance you are required by law to keep a verified list of everyone that uploads material to your site so that the rightful owners can go after the thieves. |
