After careful deliberation, XTube has now stopped accepting approved webmaster uploads indefinately. We apologize to all the webmasters who use our system for traffic and revenue and wish you luck in the future!

Due to several circumstances that have come to our attention, ALL WEBMASTER UPLOADS HAVE BEEN PUT ON AN INDEFINATE HOLD.

XTube has come to this decision after months of deliberation, user imput, sponsor input, etc.

We would like to apologize for the inconvenience and wish all our webmasters the best in the future. Thanks for all your efforts.

@fuckingfuck - you talk out of your ass, go find our "We're selling Membership" section. Our revenue comes the sale of XTube money and purchase of DVDs. As for selling ads - ads.xtube.com

Actually I would like to have a discussion about the program owners. How does all this stolen content get....well.... stolen? Maybe 100 gig member sections with no DRM. Yeah its our fault you left your doors open to your own customers. Not like we sent them there

There will be no more professional content what so ever unless it is discussed with the sponsor directly from XTube. If you don't want your webmasters to send you traffic from tube sites, then that is your perogative.

Obviously, this decision had something to do with Internext.

So your not going to let surfers upload it? Your actually going to monitor what they upload?

due to the fact that if we monitor for what webmasters are uploading it proves that we do monitor our network. being that the lawyers say that in order to not get our asses handed to us in court someday we can't monitor our content for anyone uploading.

Actually... just to bring you up to speed... a lot of programs tested the idea of DRM software when it first came into the adult space.

The problem did not come from a decrease in sales. It came in a decrease of retention which is obviously a huge problem.

A lot of us understood early on how important DRM could be for the future of our biz but not enough time was spent educating surfers on how to move through the DRM'd products.

It was easier to remove the DRM (which was a lot of work) then to get the surfers on board with it.

This guy seems bitter about the decision.

That hasnt been discussed yet. It may happen, it may not. As it stands, the webmaster makes all the profit, (bandwidth, traffic, exposure) and XTube gets content. If a sponsor program doesnt want their content on our site, we have multiple contacts. Call me on the phone (1-416-321-0588.) I find that there less Telephone Mafia wannabes as there are GFY mafia wannabes. (I'll break your kneecaps) Call me on the phone and say that.

Switch the words swap meet to pawnshop and watch how the law suddenly changes. Tube sites are not swap meets. Tube sites hide behind a small loophole that if they can say "it is to hard for us to patrol what users upload" then you are not legally responsible for the time being of having the content up there on the first warning.

I know people think this industry is just about keyboard warriors and threats. Personally I can give a rats ass about those thoughts. Laws will change, hope you are ready to evolve or die just as well. Specially if either your loophole vanishes or that if by some chance you are required by law to keep a verified list of everyone that uploads material to your site so that the rightful owners can go after the thieves.
