scottybuzz 01-17-2008 10:04 AM

Tom_PM 01-17-2008 11:00 AM

I'm in NY state and got no errors. Load speed was pretty good, definitely not "slow" in any way. I'm on time warner cable modem.

stickyfingerz 01-17-2008 11:07 AM

Both with mysql errors in Tennessee. Dns issue perhaps?

scottybuzz 01-17-2008 11:07 AM

somebody help me out LOL ive never had this issue before where mysql works in some areas but not in others. I am literally pulling out my hair!

Tom_PM 01-17-2008 11:11 AM

Try using www.dnsstuff.com and send webair the report.. one nameserver could have an issue.. I dunno, just throwing it out.

scottybuzz 01-17-2008 11:11 AM

you could be on the right track there stickyz

tranza 01-17-2008 11:17 AM

No errors at all over here, but it's loading quite slow...

Rhesus 01-17-2008 11:28 AM

Good from London. However, you may want to revise your front page layout a bit, the top (middle column) looks very messy this way.

scottybuzz 01-17-2008 11:36 AM

yeh Rhesus. thanks alot. I may make the main page into a blog or something. Anyway we think we got to the route of the problem, the dns was changed today and I didnt realise that it takes 24-48 hours for this change to propogate for all the connections, so hopefully by saturday all should be 100% working and in order.

Thanks to everyone who checked. Your all a real help in my time of stress.

DutchTeenCash 01-17-2008 11:37 AM

works perfect in Holland

thanks for adding BananaBrandy :thumbsup

scottybuzz 01-17-2008 11:39 AM

arrghhh im such an idiot. of course if you change the dns it takes time. ahh completely slipped my mind. oh well.

GrouchyAdmin 01-17-2008 11:40 AM

WebAir/Amsterdam, huh?

It's fairly common for tools to nuke /tmp; especally on FreeBSD.

Have them move the socket to /var/tmp via my.cnf, and edit the path in php.ini, accordingly. That's most likely the culprit.

you dont think it could be because the dns was changed today and it takes 24/48 hours to change for everyone?

The problem you suggested above, if the tools did nuke /tmp wouldnt everybody not be able to see it?

NoWhErE 01-17-2008 11:45 AM
