More NIche just took 300$ off my pocket! Fuckin cheapos!

So there it goes : A big FUCK YOU to MORE NICHE!!!!!!!

They refuse to re issue a check for 300$ that was sent to the wrong address ( i moved and forgot to change my details with them apparently ) they say the check is too old ( 2 years ) they made me wait for the answer 2 months...

They are benefiting from the situation. That check only cost them about $0.20 to mail out.. they haven't lost anything by me not cashing the check. They've gained $300. If it's been 2 years I don't see why they are not going to fuckin pay me. Most checks are void after 180 days. Once 180 days is past they don't have to take a hit for a stop check fee from their bank.

Well, not just the fact that they won´t pay me, but they made me wait well over 2 months to give me an answer, the reason why i forgot to change the details is because THEY changed the program name and evrth btw...

So there it goes : A big FUCK YOU to MORE NICHE!!!!!!!

so you forgot to change address AND did not forward mail from your old place to your new place? and its their fault?

Wether or not he did do this, he didn't get his cheque, thats $300 of his money he earned he won't get. The sponsor should pay him regardless. All they need to do is issue him a new cheque.

Its a stressful time moving house, plenty of stuff to do and you forget a lot.

~Ray 01-17-2008 06:06 AM

that's your money , no matter how long since the check was issued.. the old check is all of the evidence you need to collect. show it to a lawyer and have him/her write the letter.

more niche is simply making you get a lawyer before they pay you your money.

rowan 01-17-2008 06:06 AM

One of my sponsors has a T&C clause that says they will not reissue checks after 6 months. Does moreniche have this? If so then you're probably out of luck...

if they are in the US, then that violates so many laws that I can't believe they are still in business. T&C does not trump state / fed laws

who is the sponsor you refer to?

nikad 01-17-2008 06:23 AM

THis is More Niche, I believe they are in Eastern Europe ( might have offices in the US but I am not positive ). There was nothing on their TOS and as I was moving they also change the whole program name, etc Mens Niche > More Niche ( adding to the confusion )

I never had anything like this happen with any sponsor. All the sponsors I work with have always paid me ( even some where i didn´t reach the min payout but weren´t converiting with my traffic )

One word: thieves

:2 cents:

mn 01-17-2008 06:33 AM

he did earn the money and should be paid. they can deduct a stop fee for the check. but not paying him is wrong imho.

SkeetSkeet 01-17-2008 09:03 AM

if we were the sponsor we would prob take the stop payment fee on the first check(prob $25) out of the amount owed and handle it that way, but you would still get paid

nikad 01-17-2008 09:10 AM

Well, this is why I am warning everybody, I had never had any sponsor being such a crook! Not just that but they made me wait well over two months for this! I worked with them and this is what I get... FUCK THEM!

evildick 01-17-2008 09:15 AM

I can see them issuing a fee for $25 to reissue the check. That would make sense. Not sending you your money is downright crooked.

But since you waited so long they probably already wrote this debt off and don't want to bother the accountants.

:winkwink:

I know, the only thing I saw was them keeping my $

Naughty-Pages 01-17-2008 09:40 AM

I moved a few years ago, had my mail forwarded etc..

But we use over 200 affiliate programs and i failed to change the address on 4 of them...

Once the forwarding ran out, ALL 4 programs contacted me saying that checks were being returned, and then re-issued checks to my new address.

I would definately drop any program that would not re-issue a check.

Correct me if i am wrong, but is moreniche the one that send out their constant newsletters from 25 different sending email addresses?

LiveDose 01-17-2008 09:49 AM

Pay the man!

Darren 01-17-2008 09:51 AM

MoreNiche is a UK affiliate program with distribution offices in the USA. We also do not spam peoples emails :)

This is a mistake from our accounting department, I will make sure the checks are re-issued. There will be a fee for this to cover banking costs.

This is the first I have heard of the issue and now it can be resolved, sorry for any problems.

Any questions ICQ me 46335817

steved 01-17-2008 10:00 AM

The check was 2 years old? That's completely YOUR fault, and you're VERY lucky they are still going to pay you. MN always pays:)

BradM 01-17-2008 10:07 AM

As usual I am on the affiliate side. Good to see Darren is too.

It's not hard to reissue a cheque. It doesn't matter how long ago you made it - if you didn't receive a payment that was sent, you should get it. Be it 2 months, 2 years or 20 years.

V_RocKs 01-17-2008 10:21 AM

This is why I stick to Nasty Dollars and TCG.

A similar situation happened with ND for a check for $35!

They not only reissued the check but they also sent it to my new address via FedEx overnight!

When I got it with a note about them having caught the problem and being sorry for the delay in my payment I had to laugh... In fact I kept on laughing for a long time. It cost them probably $50 to send me that check but it was more important to keep their reputation.

Of course my checks at that time were about $7000 so perhaps they figured it'd be worth it in the long run to make me happy.

DirtyProfits 01-17-2008 10:27 AM

Funny, I am in the same situation but with another sponsor(s). I moved to the Netherlands 2 weeks ago and found two old checks from 2005 that I did not cash in. Probably because I thought they were too small to cash them in and wanted them to be reissued but forgot about it. Well as one sponsor told me they could not reissue it but it is still valid I went to the bank today and cashed it in. It has to be sent to Amsterdam and will take 2-4 weeks lol, all that for a fucking ~$350 and $200 check.

nikad 01-17-2008 10:30 AM

OK, I just got off icq with Darren, very attentive and he is sorting out the whole thing ( nothing like the business owner to take care of affiliates ). I was never a big whale with MN, it was very hard to sell for me, and I guess it is good to know that they take care of the average webmasters.

Good to see a happy ending. $300 is a good night out in anyones book, its not an amount you can just write off :)

Oh and Nikad I'd maybe ask the GFY mods to change the thread title or lock the thread, no use in people seeing negativity when its been sorted now.

nikad 01-17-2008 10:55 AM

Yeah, it would be good if any mods can lock this thread.

tranza 01-17-2008 11:05 AM

I'm glad you got your money man..

It's really hard to tell if you are correct or wrong since it's you that supposedly gets these emails. I only get one newsletter to the email address that I used when signing up.

Do you have proof of these emails, or do you just think it might have been someone or something that may have done something, but you don't really know for sure?

Manowar 01-17-2008 12:52 PM

Very cool of Darren to send it :)

Given that nikad has been chasing this up for 2 months I'm surprised you're still going to deduct that fee.

they were promoting their own affiliate program via constant news letters.

but like i said, it may not have been them, i remember belonging to a program that sounded like i, it may have been "mensniche.com" not "moreniche.com"

and again, either way i didn't say anyone was spamming, just said that they came from multiple countless "sending" email addies (NOT receiving addies!), instead of sending from one simple email address to add to a friends list.. i found it a bit annoying to constantly pick them out...

Mensniche changed to Moreniche awhile ago, they are one in the same.

I found a check in my house from ClickMeMedia.com that literally 'fell thru the cracks' a few years ago. When I found it, I called James, and he sent a new check right away.

James is the man.:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup
