Tough!! I was hangin with Mark Laimon and Joe Stevens this weekend in vegas, how do you hang with a guy and tell him "I think your gonna win" when you know Bj penn is the real deal? Im good friends with BJ Penn and watched him in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu dominate every belt class! Was the 1st American to go to brazil and win worlds at Black. I love Joe and i love BJ but i'm thinking KO or submission in the second round. But if it goes into the 3rd round i pick joe for the decision.

Wow, how lucky are you. Joe is a very good fighter, but Bj is the man. Im soooo glad hes fighting lightweight. It was tough watching him whoop Hughes ass, then gassing at the end because he had to put on so many pounds. He looked unbelievable against Pulver. This is only the begining. I cant wait for him to mash Sherk next.

I can't wait to see that fight, but the rest of the card looks rather shitty. I guess I was spoiled by the last one.

i'd argue against bj penn being the best pound for pound at this point in time. i think pound for pound anderson silva is a far more destructive fighter. that being said bj is still the man, i just don't think he's as untouchable at the moment as some hype him up to be. i think stevenson has a chance...

to tell you the truth i'm a little more excited for werdum and gonzaga...

The best pound for pound fighter is Dan Henderson.. keep in mind he is a 185lbs fighter who dominated everybody in pride at 185 including Anderson Silva!! Then he stepped up to 205 to beat down "The Axe Murderer"

Bj is awesome when he is on!! And Joe has an incredible work ethic that may grant him a victory if Bj didn't prepare for a war!

We will see...

I will pick BJ, but I am worried about his stamina, I seem to remeber in his last fight he seemed winded. As long as he is in good shape. BJ wins by the second round.

I love Dan Henderson and I seriously hope he knocks the fucking shit out of Silva. But really I don't know, as much as I want Henderson to dethrone Silva, I can't deny that he just gets better and better at everything he does. If ANYONE can take down Silva, it is Henderson though, and I think there will be alot of questions answered after the fight takes place. Henderson is one of my favorite fighters, but I'm not sure I'd say he's pound for pound the best in the game quite yet. I'm still going with Silva for the moment. Oh, and henderson has never fought anderson before fyi.

You must not have seen the Pulver fight. He was in the best shape of his life and stamina was not a factor. If he is in the shape he was last fight he will win.

He's great alright, but you are exaggerating slightly. He lost the first one against Wanderlei and also lost to Misaki, Arona and Nogueira (twice). Oh and he never fought Anderson Silva at all.

I believe Wandy was also still fucked up from the ass whoopin from Crocop in the Grand Prix.

I can actually see BJ winning a decision here, if not a KO. He looked in great shape from what I saw of his training session, even better than when he fought Pulver. He'll need to be, though, because Joe Daddy is a badass. Should be a great technical fight.

in his fight with hughes his ribs did get cracked
Depending on the indentation level of that crack it would put presure on his breathing.

He also had to gain way too much weight to fight hughes, plus the ribs made him gas after handling Matt him at the begining of the fight. When he fought Pulver he was at his best and most natural weight.

Yes I did miss that fight, Sounds like he is back to his old form then. Penn all the way.
