You're lucky one. Still no snow here in Moscow :(

GT-Omar 01-16-2008 04:00 PM

I know tell me about it. I was shocked when I walked outside, and saw it. Nice though.

Too bad it's going to turn into ice, and slush. Now these knuckle heads are all going to start driving like they've been driving in it for years (smacking into everything they see)

Georgia drivers SUCK in bad weather

tony286 01-16-2008 04:00 PM

I tired to get one it sucks, Im waiting to see the one my wife got.

Peaches 01-16-2008 04:08 PM

I flew in late last night - I am SO glad I didn't stay another day as we know ATL shuts down as soon as there's a flake ;)

We didn't start getting flakes until after you guys did but the flakes are smaller meaning it's colder.

I LOVE the snow :)

Sosa 01-16-2008 04:28 PM

watch out for all the people that don't know how to drive on snow/ice.

charlie g 01-16-2008 04:31 PM

LOL, this is the first time my dog has seen snow and it scared the hell out of him. My kids are loving it tho!

MandyBlake 01-16-2008 06:29 PM

its great snowball snow.
packs very well cuz its so wet.

SweetT 01-16-2008 08:06 PM

I love the snow as much as anyone but I am sitting on the runway in Knoxville Tennessee where we were diverted due to the pretty shit. Delta is telling us we might make it to ATL by midnight when we should have been home at 9.

Someone throw a snowball for me. :)

hope you have a safe flight.

Wish we had more snow down here in the south of the UK. All we get is rain most of the time... I like building snowmen

Ah, you're on the flight I took last night. I wonder if this is a bad time to tell you we actually got in about 15 minutes early :upsidedow

It's sleeting here now. Ready for the power to go out and the generator to kick in any minute now......Thankfully being poor white trash (and having too many trees and a metal roof) my satellite dish is in the yard where I can scrape the snow off it when it fills up and messes up my important TiVoing :)

My two male dogs love to go out and eat it. It's crazy.

That does not irritate me near as much as the fact that the fligh that left vegas 2 hrs after us has landed and the people have their bags and are on their way home while I sit on this runway jonesing for a smoke and ponder why these idiots sent us further north right into the path of the storm.

It amazes me how in the south people drive the same speed when it starts to rain! They come flying up to a junction on their cellfone, jam their foot on the brake and get a nasty surprised when they start to lose control.

JUSTB 01-17-2008 07:45 AM

I actually got snowed in when I lived there. We were out at a couple clubs and then walked out of Club Anytime and it was snowing! Got in one of the last cabs running and made it to my friends building. Got out of the cab and slid down the hill lol. Was stuck there and finally decided to walk to my building. Wound up getting a ride from tourists who could drive in snow. Then I swear it was a 2 day party when I got home because no one could go anywhere! All the neighbors pooled resources and we got to have interesting drinks like gin and tropicana twister!!
anyway, enough reminiscing for one day..... ha

I was just by where Club Anytime was, they leveled it to the ground and I think their building condos there. I heard it was a wild place.

Scott McD 01-17-2008 08:01 AM

We've hardly had any snow here this winter. Hope it stays that way...

OMG it was insane and everyone was there. Strippers, Braves, Falcons, rich people, broke people... We called it Club Anyslime.
Man I am getting old this was like 15 years ago and seems like yesterday.

AHHH yes !! Club anytime. When Atlanta was a true party city, and the clubs never closed. If those walls could speak they would have some interesting things to say. They have knocked down all the old school hangouts, and even torn up buck head. The strip is no longer there :( but they are rebuilding like mad in the city, and Atlanta is getting a pretty nice face lift at the moment, but man I miss the old days.

Yup, that was when Buckhead was hoppin. Confetti, Petrus, Club 112 and we always ended up at Anytime to hang with the strippers after work. I stumbled out of there at daybreak more times than I can recall.

Oh my - I can remember driving home from Club 112 many times drunk as a skunk in morning rush hour traffic. Before it was Club 112 it was called JWV's - because it was the 112th club of the Jewish War Veterans. 'Tis why they could stay open 24 hours a day. Back in those days (25+ years ago) they couldn't serve booze, but you could brown bag it. And a glass of OJ was $5. Ah, the good times :)

I remember walking drunk from Limelight to Confetti one night because I was mad at my then boyfriend, later husband, later ex-husband, lol.

Glad you got home safe, T. After midnight, all it did was rain here and all the snow went away :(
