Potato guns are so much fun, but they can be dangerous.

I almost killed the same girl twice in one day when we were all camping.

Drinking heavily + potato gun = Near death experiences

Fucking hilarious! How did you almost kill her? Used the poor girl as target practice? I wanted to build one of these a while back but never bothered to get started. Do these things ever blow up under pressure?

from what I have heard .. they are good for a certain amount of shots .. but then you have to really start to look for cracks and breakage .. they are just plastic .. and they do end up blowing up at some point .. just have to keep building them .. bigger and better

No, me and my buddy were just shooting it off into the desert when one potato went in perfect. So we decided to shoot it straight up. Well, we shot it straight up and it got caught up in the breeze perfect to just go straight up and straight back down. Everyone scattered but her and the thing landed about 6 inches from her chair. It left a decent sized crater in the ground where it hit. Scared the shit out of us.

Then an hour later or so, we were still shooting it off in the desert and she got up to go take a piss and about walked into another potato. This one missed by about 5 or 6 feet, but it was close enough to get her attention.

We put the gun away after that.

I'd keep that girl away from busy streets or a real firing range :warning

There is no way I would hold that thing close to my face made out of PVC.
I'd build one out of steel tubing though. :-)

If I were to own one it would be over-engineered and made of steel. PVC is way too dangerous.
