I have a site that I launched that may be picked up in the local media soon. I need a hosting company that can provide me with a dedicated server under $150. The server must:

- have me up and running in a few hours

- host at least 1000 users at the same time without timing out or not loading the site (people will NOT be downloading any files from the site or watching any movie. They are just browsing the information)

- have cpanel

- have a money back guarantee if the server doesn't perform as promised

I know, but it is a temporary project that wont last more than a few months. Its a favor I am doing someone and it ain't gonna make me much money.

what type of site is it? 1000 concurrent users on a machine that only costs $150 (including the cost of cpanel which is $35 or more) is hard to believe possible.
The max you'll get is about a P4 and I highly doubt it will support 1000 concurrent users.

Its database, php driven etc?

Without knowing much about your sites, it's really impossible for anybody to "guarantee" anything. If they do, don't believe them. 1000 unique current visitors could totally break a server or it could not even cause a blip. It depends what you are doing.
