Cloverfield is finally hitting theaters this Friday.

It will be interesting to see if all of the viral marketing earns JJ Abrams a huge $$$ return on his new monster movie.

Anyone else checking it out this weekend?

Cloverfield is a new movie that's coming out that's raised the hype bar by running viral marketing campaigns and odd little snippets and websites that gave out clues to the movie.

It began with a teaser trailer shot on a handheld camera that was made to look like someone's home movie of a party. The trailer was shown before "Transformers" and didn't identify the movie at all, the trailer just ended with 1.18.08 (the release date0 and it began this huge marketing campaign for this movie.
