ny construction worker gets forced anal exam

So this construction worker gets hit on the forehead by a falling beam requiring 6 stitches on his head. he goes to the emergency room . They give him stitches , then they tell him they need to examine his rectum. he of course says no, so they hold him down, when he refuses they inject him with drugs to knock him out then examine his anus.:Oh crap

Apparently examing the spine thru the anus is one way of ruling out spinal cord injuries..( boy alley's new job ? ) although i have never heard of that before and i have gone to the hospital a few times for head injuries.

I just called 911, now how hard should I hit my head?

Maybe they should of explained it better to him.

Sounds like shenanigans.

I find it hard to believe that a hospital would commit to any procedure (especially if there was a way around it - such as, in this case, an MRI, ifnothing else) after being explicitly denied by the patient.

Agreed. I don't see the staff at the hospital holding a guy down, drugging him and then bringing out the gimp for the forced sodomy called a "rectal exam".

Since when doesn't a hospital allow a patient to leave without going through exploratory examinations? He got his stitches, he's allowed to leave if he doesn't want to go through all that.
