HELP!! LCD tv home theatre setup HDTV / DVI / HDMI??

WTF

I just purchased this graphics card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150229

and this LCD TV

http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=35

but I cannot figure out what cable to use to connect the two

any ideas??

the card says it has a HDTV out port and it sort of loooks like an s-video port but I am not sure

any thoughts would be apreciated

most likely use the DVI to VGA adapter. The TV should have a VGA input. Not sure if that will produce HD quality signal but it'll work. Perhaps there is a DVI to HDMI converter out there?

There is a hdmi to dvi you can get it on amazon pretty cheap or you can go to best buy and pay allot for one.

VGA will not output hd just sd.

Your card uses DVI and your HDTV has HDMI so you'll need a DVI-HDMI adapter. Of course you'll need to figure out another source for sound since DVI doesn't transfer sound.

VGA is analog so no you won't get a HD signal. That's no better than using composite( yellow/red/white )

Uhh, VGA can handle HD resolutions just fine. I use it on one of my xbox 360s to get 1080i.

You can run some monitors up to 2048x1536, far surpassing the 1080p spec.

Component is analog as well, that handles HD just fine. You don't need a digital signal to do HD. (although that would be preferred)

Thanks everyone... I will go with the DVI to HDMI converter

I used to be a hardware junkie... this new hardware changes way too fast
