The UK now has the tv station with the stupidest name ever
 

I was just flipping through and apparently we now have a channel that is simply called 'Dave'. It appears to show reruns of of BBC shows.

Yeah, it's been running for a couple of months now

I've been watching the repeats of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' on it, hehe.



It's been named 'Dave' because, apparently everyone knows a Dave. So i heard...

I was hoping it would be something clever like all the shows were hosted by Dave's or something like that. There is an old song/skit from the comedy troop Kids In The Hall called 'These Are The Daves I know'..that could be the theme.

Ah dont knock it i thought it was stupid name too but then i thought about it and its genius , because if all else fails at least people called dave will watch it at least most of the daves i know are pretty happy bout it!

Plus like the man says it shows top gear which is great to watch when nothing else is on sky :)

Been around a while, it's just UK Gold2 rebranded, think it's done wonders for it's popularity. Top Gear, Whose Line, QI, Buzzcocks and it's on Freeview, I could watch it all day lol

I liked all those shows the first time they were on. I am not good at watching reruns of game shows in particular.

It's been running for ages. I've been watching Red Dwarf and Dragons Den all over againb

I used to watch RD on Gold but then the box sets came out. I like Dragon's Den a lot but much like game shows, I can't watch reruns of something like that when I know already if the got the deal.

Regardless, it wasn't the content as much as the name..which really very silly ;)
