How 'Hard sell' would you like hosted gals to be?

I noticed that a lot of hosted gals are getting very hard sell....

Do you think thats a good thing - how far would you allow sponsors to go before you stopped listing them?

The purpose of using hosted galleries is for that particular TGP owner to generate sales so by all means sell the shit out of your product.

I've seen too many hosted galleries that basically do the opposite and do too little to sell and maybe have one little link through to the site... that's pretty much useless.

I understand why TGPS that sell spots (and even those that take free submissions) have their own rules and limit submitters outgoing gallery links - so if you want your shit listed there, follow their rules, but hosted galleries are or at least should be a whole different animal.

It would be nice if sponsors took control of their content again. I'm not saying you should use blind links or even a bunch of un-linked thumbs, but the content to link through ratio is, IMHO, way to high.

Give them things to click on, along with a reason to, and by golly they just might.

lol - I knew there was something I forgot....

Yup, that's the way I like 'em too - as aggressive selling as possible (no popunders loading dialer though, lol..)

I've actually personally, and recently, seen one of MC's aggressive FHG perform a *lot* better than the "cookie cutter" galleries that goes up on regular TGP's...

I'm was working with SE traffic there, and as I've mentioned to Sarah I got the first sale after less than 10 uniques from just starting sending to it..
and notice this.. those uniques were *to the gallery* :)

Such things can happen if they're layedout aggressively and used with better traffic than skimmed TGP's etc.

So :thumbsup to aggressive selling :)

Goes

Thats the plan - but how hard is too hard for FHG TGP owners - I could put up copies of my tours with different vids.... is that ok?

There must be a line - I am just trying to find out where it is :)

Amen

I've practised and preached this since 2000-2001 when FHG's 1st became popular. You carry the torch for a while. :thumbsup

That is GREAT advice!

BV 01-17-2008 12:07 AM

actually I don't even want them clicking on the pictures that much if you can help it

i always use very nice but tame pictures yet use more explicit and click able images in the header and banners which lead to the tour.

EXAMPLE: http://www.beachmodel.com/free_galle...ccbill=1352409
