Alternative to WordPress?

I'm looking to hook up a simple blog. What's a good alternative to wordpress.

Simplicity is the key.

Jace, baddog, any advice?

The alternative is the best and the brightest . The script was developed by that really smart guy and because it is far superior to word press I would highly :thumbsup recommend it!

WP is pretty darn simple. I mean, if I can do it then a monkey could.

Joomla! is great, too. Not really for a simple blog, but a good CMS for more complex stuff.

As Sarah said, WP is by far the easiest one and does it's job perfectly. The only reason to use something else for a blog would be performance issues. Depending on your traffic and the plugins you use, WP can be a real resource hog.

Thanks. One or two of those I did not know. Those simple platforms maybe useful for some project pages that I will need.

And wordpress can cache now if you edit some config file. I read it on their site the other day.

Thanks all,

In the end, I just went back to WP.. might as well just stick to what I know. It's faster.
