Just got the new iPhone update.
 

Multiple text message persons, new maps, rearrange icons on screen plus add bookmarks to it.

Seems like the best update yet.

Quick question. I just got the iPhone and am trying to transfer the songs from my iPOD to my phone. Now, my library is on my old computer that isn't working anymore. I installed itunes on my new computer using my same login credentials. However, my songs in the library are not there. I tried plugged my iphone into my old computer and the songs still won't download to my iphone. Anyone have this issue?

I have heard some people say that music purchased through iTunes could be recaptured, but I kind of doubt it.

I always suggest having music on an external and repointing the iTunes directory to it. This way, when you buy a new lap top, you just readjust iTunes and you don't miss a beat.

Hopefully someone can offer you some help, but the way Apple operates in coordination with record labels, I doubt you can recover that music.

does the iphone update also cover ipod touch upgrades or is there a separate upgrade for those in lowly canada without iphones (not on the market yet here)

During Steve Jobs' keynote address, he announced 5 new apps for the iPod Touch: Mail, Stocks, Notes, Weather, and Maps.

The updated software will be available to existing users for a $20 upgrade fee.

I don't really care about multimedia or camera quality, but I would like to be able to send pictures through text, rather than through just email.

Iphone is useless
 

My iphone was useless untill i went to jailbreakme.com from my iphone browser. Lot of good aps to use including a nintendo emulator . There is new updates everyday you can change the theme of your phone , costimize it use mp3 as ring tones pretty much stuff you should have been able to do already .
