As some of you are aware I was made an offer for my business. I first had to decide if I wanted to sell. After some considerable thought I decided to sell, if I could negotiate the terms that I wanted. I was initially offered a more than generous cash offer (made by my manager/partner/friend) but I preferred to have cash as well as a percentage of the business for x number of years. I just got off of the phone with him and we have agreed to terms. As soon as our attorney gets the paper work in order, he will fly to Sacramento, where I will meet him, and I will officially be out of the business. There will be a ?no compete? clause but it will be specific and will not totally bar me from doing certain things in this business, if I choose to. Before anyone asks I will not say how much I am receiving for the business. Suffice it to say that I have other sources of income and combined with the current deal, I shall not be without.

Multiple paysites. Sorry but I will not expose my soon to be former business on this or any other board. Most serious Webmasters don't, but some are brave souls that are willing to put up with the problems that this can and does cause. My soon to be former partner is a member of this board but I am not aware that he has ever posted here, though he may have.

I suspected "TheKing" wasn't going to work out on GFY.

At least "Pathfinder" had some intelligent things to say. TheKing is like a parody of Pathfinder with less thoughtful stuff to say and more talk radio slogans.

A $200 dollar increase sounds a little high for house insurance in a single leap. Have you moved into a different area, or more expensive home? Thanks for the congrats.:thumbsup

I will not be going anywhere soon. Since my dad died I have moved into his home. My mother has had bad health for quite some time now. In addition since my back problems have become more severe I don't get out much anymore, so if anything I just have more free time. My dad was an educated man and well read, but I am not at the same level he was. He also was more of a gentleman than I am. I was an enlisted man in the Army and he spent a good number of years as an officer. He never really stated it, but I know he was disappointed with some of my choices. With hindsight so am I.

Nuthin like done deals.

Thanks Jimmyf. I am aware that you and my dad were in contact. He frequently backed up his his idenities folder from Outlook and dated them and I have been going through his E-mails to see what he had been up to and some of the business connections he had. I am also aware that you were Airborne. I was too.
