Try www.nyhabitat.com - we've used them in the past for short term leases and rentals.

If you want it downtown... Expect big money.. You can go right over to Jersey and rent a condo.. Nice and with lots of space for maybe half the price... |
you should be able to find a decent one bedroom for around $4k a month
|
Ive been looking around on craigslist.
I forgot how expensive nyc was. My budget was first 1.5k/month then i looked at prices it went to 1.8k.. to 2k now im at 2.5k month and it will probably be up again.. |
i am a native NYer for many years.... you can get a very nice sublet for $2,500 for short term.... broker fee will kill your budget try craigslist and sublet.com If you really want to offset your expenses, look on criagslist for the people who need a room mate...
If you want to be under $2k, checkout Hoboken, NJ. 10 min ride on the PATH and you are in NYC. Checkout Astoria and Forest Hills in Queens. About 10 to 15 min ride on subway depending what stop you are to 59th and lex in Midtown. |
Jersey? Check Brooklyn. :P
fort greene/clinton hill is right over the manhattan bridge, or if you want something more trendy look into williamsburg. |
NYC rent is crazy :2 cents:
