Nice. Exept Bush had nothing to do with this bill. This was pure window dressing by Non-Bush supporter liberal Democrat Charles Rangel. He was just using it as a ploy so people that weren't paying attention would think Bush's illegal war for oil was going to require a draft. Guess it worked on some.

Not really. If a draft was in place, we wouldn't be fighting wars like Iraq. The guys who start and support the war are typically chickenhawks that would run to Canada the minute a draft was instituted.

This is mandatory military service OR work for the Gov in some way, ie do your service for the country. I don't think that means boot camp for everyone, since some are clearly to fat, stupid, and so on but they still need people to run the general store, cook food, and get all the same gov issued shots.

I served years ago. My stint was terrible.

i would have no problem with standardized military service in America, but a draft is kind of stupid. i have so many friends that are 25 years old and can barely wipe their own ass because mommy and daddy did everything for them, maybe a stint in the military might have helped them to be more useful in life?
