Which NFL team should get new uniforms next year?

I say scrap the NHL and go with global sports? soccer & cricket :)

Sarah_Jayne 01-14-2008 04:41 AM

Philly just needs to never wear their 'throwback' uniform every again.

What does hockey have to do with football uniforms?

Next question is cricket really a global sport? I would rather it be baseball. True the MLB only allows in Canada for now but they do play a lot of it in Japan and other countries like Cuba a great deal. People seem to just love to play it.

Cricket is VERY global. It was pretty much news to me when I moved here too but it is a seriously major deal around the world.

That said, I agree it had nothing to do with the thread. I am hosting a Superbowl Party for some of my UK friends that are curious to know what one is like. It is on tv here but it is late at night so it is an all night thing. I am just waiting to find the final teams so I can plan the menu to be themed. I want to do the required chicken wings but have guys that won't eat chicken on the bone...see *that* is what happens when you are in a nation that plays cricket ;)

Boneless wings work very well plus they are all breast meat and I actually like them more than standard hot wings, I know heresay and all.

Not really sure what theme needs to be done, just cover common football foods. Beer, and then maybe some nacho's, chili, dips, wings, certain types of sandwiches, chips (the crisps type not fries), ya know the basics.

I can't get premade boneless chicken wings here ..are they really just chicken tenders? By theme I mean I will do regional foods depending on the team. I know how to do a general superbowl party but when there is a chance to show my friends regional foods from the States I like to do it.

Just get some chicken tenders or breasts (skinless of course). Set up a breading station (flour, egg & milk, and flour) I suggest spiking the flour with some extra heat. Bread your chicken pieces (about 1 to 2 inch chunks) and fry until golden brown. Then sauce em. If possible go traditional on the sauce, franks and butter. Otherwise any vinegar based hot sauce and melted butter. Toss to coat and serve with blue cheese dipping sauce and celery sticks.

Yeah, that is pretty much what I had planned to do. I will do the bone in ones for those that don't mind and then do the chicken tender version for the wimps.

Tenn. Titans, worst uniform in sports.

StickyGreen 01-16-2008 04:13 PM

That's easy... The Dolphins...

Bdiddy 01-16-2008 05:17 PM

I would say Arizona Cardinals "all white" jerseys.

But the ALLTIME ugliest uniform has to be the University of Oregon Ducks:

lol...if they cant eat them off the bone, they don't deserve them

Also, real Buffalo wings aren't breaded. Just fried until cooked crispy then coated with sauce. Breaded wings are nasty. :2 cents:

If the frigging Raiders don't start winning some games, the Silver and Black may as well switch to Purple and Pink... :disgust
