If you could have 5 minutes with George Bush..

what would you ask him or tell him?

for me, I would ask him why the V.A. has failed to take care of our veterans as we (the U.S.) did with the vietnam veterans.

regardless of how i feel about the war with Iraq, I have to ask why the U.S. hasn't learned (or doesnt care) how to treat the very citizens who give there life for freedom/liberty (political agenda)...

personally, i am embarrassed by the way we treat our veterans. although i dont understand why anyone would volunteer for the armed services under the guise of serving their country, i still feel it is our duty (as american citizens) to take care of those that put themselves in harms way for the U.S.

why dont more people stand up and ask why the U.S. treats their veterans like dirt?

SayWhut 01-13-2008 06:25 AM

I'd ask if he shaves his bush ....

buzzy 01-13-2008 06:57 AM

I would ask him why he was so concerned about taking out Saddam because he was a dictator yet still supports and puts money and pockets of the dictators in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

StuartD 01-13-2008 07:03 AM

Talking to him would be useless.

"A sovereign nation is just that... it's sovereign. It's a nation that's been given sovereignty and is sovereign."

s9ann0 01-13-2008 07:44 AM

Yes, we know what the answer is but ovbiously he wouldn't be able to say "for oil".

nation-x 01-13-2008 07:50 AM

I wouldn't have anything to say to him... I didn't vote for him... I told people back then that they would regret voting for him and he did exactly what I expected him to do.

Odin 01-13-2008 08:04 AM

I'd ask him for some charlie.

CyberHustler 01-13-2008 08:07 AM

IMO saudi arabia and egypt dont have true dictators.
Why? because their decisions are highly based on american influence.

anyway my five minuites would be about the future of america and wether or not they are able to stay on top in the next 30-100 years. highly debatable

but id rather have 5 minuites with vladimir putin.

I'd tell him I admire him and I appreciate his courage and perseverance in Iraq.

I'd tell him of my great concern for his administration's failure to secure our country's borders.

Yes, I agree our country treats vets poorly. We must do better!!

I also believe our troops had a much harder time in Iraq --with poorer equipment, higher caualties, and an emboldened enemy --because the Dems played politics at home. To see our troops used like pawns in the Dems' domestic power play was maddening and a total disgrace!

FurTrader 01-13-2008 12:56 PM

and if he was honest, he would tell you that Saddam tried to have his daddy killed.

and that, in a nutshell, is why we are in Iraq today.

pay back on the taxpayer dime and planned many years ago.

do you really need to ask that? veterans are not important to gwb's pocket book. it's a game of chess and those playing it can afford to toss aside the pawns...

Yeah I actually read about that but didn't go any deeper, if that's ture then it's truly fucked up that he would kill 3000 american troops and 100k iraqis to go after his fathers attempted killer.

3000 is a disposable amount. i'm sure he'd wipe another 3000 clean if it could just help him figure out how to get that god damn slinky to go the whole way down his staircase...

Darth_Porn 01-14-2008 01:55 AM

I will try and ask him if i see him later tonight. He is in Dubai for a state visit.
It's fucking insane ... the entire city has shut down.

Instead of worrying about security they just shut down the entire city here and announced a public holiday. :)

Good thing is that i dont have to go to work today ... bad news is that there is so much traffic on the remaining roads that havent shut down that you can't realy go anywhere.

:)

In five minutes I doubt I could say anything that would make any difference. So, I would hope in that five minutes I could figure out what it is that so many people apparently see in him when they meet him.

yota71 01-14-2008 04:21 AM

I would ask him when exactly is he going to invade Iran and how does it feel to know that. After you have directly caused the 3rd world war. Does it feel good knowing that you will be safe in your shelter. Will it bother you watching millions of children rotting from the inside out due to radiation poisioning. (sorry I got carried away)
