I had a wake up call and I am glad to say that after 3-4 years of seeing my shrink and him putting me on all this shit for my anxiety and such ..... which led to other crap which led him to put me on other shit... you get the picture..


Anyways i have been wheening off everything............and reaping the withdrawals symptoms.....

Within 2 months I will be fucking off all his shit .........finally..........


The crap i am on takes time to dose off of.... cant do it cold turkey.....

So to everyone who is prescribed meds for Anxoety/depression and such... think twice before taken em cause Ii look back upon it and it was not worht it :2 cents::2 cents::2 cents:

5 mins late and I am a mess... I love it and hate it.

Yeah i remember a few times missing a dose and then all of a sudden the fucking head and body got HIT from the not taking the meds ... fucked up feeling

I have tried to explain the feeling to people - you cant.

Its seriously messed up.

Its like being hit around the head with a sledge hammer that has a 1000 volts running through it. If you try and sleep through it that makes it worse - the nightmares are beyond anything you could imagine.

I dont miss a dose ever....

I am close to someone who went through horrid withdrawls coming off of effexor. They were too stubborn to do it with medical supervision, and just went off cold turkey.

They described the same things you do...feelings of electrical...jolts?...., and horrible nightmares.

My aunt showed up at Christmas bouncing off the walls and had cooked enough food to feed half the state. She also weighed about 90 lbs. Her gynecologist sent her to a therapist for "depression" (first any of us had heard about her being depressed) and that's what the idiot gave her.

I have a feeling it's not going to end good, lol.

i dont have anxiety hardly at all anymore since i was prescribed xanax, i NEVER have taken it before, but i feel great knowing i have something to make me feel normal in case i ever have an "attack"

yeah, going off meds is great... but, wait until a few months after you are clean... if you have to go back on meds you will need twice the dosage that u needed before. this is what happened to me and it sucks....

The best way to describe what I experienced for 4 months non-stop was "overly aware of my own existance". Shrink said it was panic disorder...

My vision was distorted and everything seemed really far away. I would at any moment suddenly realize "whoa, i exist." and would start concentrating on my distorted vision and begin to panic. What ended up helping me cope was weed. I would smoke it, and I would still feel really out of it, however due to the fact I was high I could at least attribute in my head that the bad feeling, distorted vision and discomfort were attributed to the drug not just there for no apparent reason like when I was sober.

What ended up really fixing me was hypnotherapy. I recommend you try this, Juicy. It gets pretty expensive at around $200-300 an hour, though.

I still get anxiety from time to time and tend to get startled really easily, but 99.9% of my problem is gone. The meds I was on before the hypno-therapy were zoloft and lorozephan. The zoloft I took 1 pill and had diarrhea for 10 hours. The ativan I dissolved under my tongue as needed but it sort of made me completely mellow and emotionless like a zombie. I also tried wellbutrin, which worked very well but gave me chest pains.

Hit me up if you want more info on that hypnotherapy shit. It sounds like voodoo but it really worked

Goodluck, but stop thinking that you will not have side-effects after 2 months after being "clean"...

There are cases which the withdraw related side-effects last 1 year or even more.

I used to take Lexapro when I had serious anxiety issues caused by my once insane work and travel schedule. I was starting to have serious anger issues on top of the anxiety and would fly off the handle over really simple shit, so I decided to ask my doctor for something to take the edge off, as I knew that wasn't me and I didn't want to continue that way.

Lexapro is supposed to be the best anti-anxiety for men to take because, unlike Paxil, the sexual side effects are minimal. Paxil will literally rob you of whatever sex drive you have, and if you finally decide that you want to have sex one day you can forget about climaxing. My ex was on it for a while and we went from having a great sex life to absolutely none at all, since I would literally have to pack a lunch and be there all day if I wanted to make her cum. She would get so frustrated at not being able to it would literally make her cry.

Lexapro made me a bit tired the first few weeks and noticeably lazier than I was used to being, but it did calm my mood considerably and it really helped when I was on it. It does fuck with your sex drive a bit, but not to the point that you don't want to have sex at all...more along the lines of you just won't go out of your way to get it...
