need an pro advice for domain name sell/speculation

1 years ago i've buy a collection of domain name (com/net/org) at the time i had an idea (a vbuletin forum) but never had the time to work on it so i've park those domain. then since a medical companies have coming out with a produce using the same name as my domain! the product is still in beta test and is a baldness treatment

so i've just put online a wordpress blog about this product..
so the question is : whats should i do ? contact the companies and trying to sell them my domain or waiting offer?

Christina Muller 01-12-2008 11:43 PM

yes simply contact them tell them you have a domain they might be interested in and ask them to make a offer, saves waiting for them to maybe do it. :)

Wait for them to come and take it from you.

and the question is: how much should i ask? this a private medical companies working on a revolutionary hair loss cure! they are spending several million of $$ on the beta right now..

Google result with the name:)
Results 1 - 10 of about 2,040 for *****

well first just ask if they are interested in the domain before talking cost, they may not even be interested then go from there.

Take one step at a time.:thumbsup

Wait. It's essential, because if you contact them, you hand them your ass for a cybersquatting trial. They'd claim they invented, maybe even trademarked the name before you registered the domain and get a good chance to grab it for free.

How much to ask for if they contact you ? You could either play safe, ask for like 10-20k which they'd probably pay without hesitation since it's the fastest way for them to get the domain and this sum won't hurt them. If you choose to go for 6 figures, they'd probably test the waters for a legal battle.

So, there is a good chance to make some nice cash, but don't push it too far, ask yourself how much money you are willing to possibly waste on a lawyer.

You should take down any reference to the product, put up some content completely unrelated. Otherwise you appear to be cybersquatting on their (trademarked?) name.
