Did you know Copying A CD To A MP3 PLayer Is Technically against copyright law in UK

Now I never knew that buying a CD and putting them on your MP3 player is actually against copyright law in the UK. Now they are on about making it legal ..lol how many people allready transfer bought CDs To Their MP3 players and IPods

Millions of people already "rip" discs to their computers and move the files to MP3 players, although the process is technically against copyright law.

My son buys cds then puts it on his mp3 player when he goes out because mp3 players are much smaller to carry around then a cd player and he can also put like 4 cds on one mp3 player

Yah I knew that.. Pretty stupid tho, you already paid for the CD, do they want you to pay to download it and put it on your iPod as well from iTunes?

I think if you buy that CD you should be entitled to put it on your iPod. Lots of people buy cd's for their cars but also would like them on mp3 players to listen to when not in the car.

But, you are legaly entitled to make a back up copy, so surely your 'back up' can be your MP3s
