First time I heard about the guy were 3-4 years ago. If this guy can do billions with a name like Virgin then it can't be too hard to make a billion or two or three?

Yeah Virgin is pretty huge over here, they recently bought out NTL one of the biggest cable tv, broadband and phone companies in the UK. Plus there is a virgin mega store in almost every town.

One of the strongest brands here in the UK. You can't really look anywhere without seeing one of the Virgin brands. I believe he started by selling records. The guy just has good business sense. Not all of his projects succeed, but the few billion must come from somewhere...

He does deals with people they put in the money he puts up the brand name,
not much is done with his own cash, he's a clever bugger.

The guy knows the meaning of PR. He's used hot air balloon record attempts, transatlantic powerboat record attempts, and all kinds of other stuff to get his brand out there.

He really has aggression down as he has rolled the dice several times and done ok. In his book it is amazing to see how close he was to losing it all several times.
