“The story’s been sensationalized,” Albright said. “It’s not like people are taking this information to go out there and say, ’John Smith bought a subscription to this Web site.’ It’s just used to market more porn Web sites
JUST |
At least the articles are getting less and less damaging, and acually reporting a bit of truth.
I do love the comments from Silverstein/MojoHost, ummmm... your a hosting company that had clients that got breached, you probably shouldn't talk about securing our industry. I love the McAnally comment too, “There’s a loss, in my opinion, of user confidence,”.... then shut the fuck up. |
Aint that something?

From a company who is using NATS there is no "just" about it. How many customers signed up to a sponsor using NATS with a unique email address and then started getting spam out the ass and the customer blammed the porn site and cancelled? Who knows how much data was collected about affiliates, how many sales they send, their contact info, and the urls of the sites where they send their traffic from... who knows if this information was sold to other porn companies that are competitors. Just, lol. John is just an idiot when it comes to trying to down play this. |

Stupid comment. What is the hosting company suppose to do, it was a valid user name / password, a NATS admin account. No one was hacking the hosting company's client's server. How was the hosting company suppose to know that NATS was too retarded to protect this info and someone had stolen it from NATS and it wasn't NATS using it. Either way, if I recall it was that hosting company or one of them that was one of the first to catch on to what was happening. If it was left up to your boy John there is a 99% chance the problem would still be happening. So instead of making wise ass remarks about the hosting companies you might want to thank them. |

Hey dial..... Your info on shavebucks is not correct. Shavebucks was started by a former employer of PIB cash after they were caught shaving. It's evolved a bit since then but it is not StuartD. |

OK... Does Keith live in Oklahoma, Nevada, Illinois or Michigan?
|
I have to laugh because I have heard of MUCH LARGER BREECHES... But I won't say shit without a subpoena.
|
Keith Kimmel of Norman, Okla., who runs two Web sites that feature porn, said the breach has the potential to embarrass.
“Would you really want a record floating around the Internet that you subscribe to hardcore bondage?” he asked. |
minus won't leave us alone :)
