The teenagers and kids do stupid things like that over here. Dont know how your trains work over in the US but over here you can get electrocuted from the train tracks. There was a program on TV last year showing kids as young as 8 years old messing about on the train tracks.

Red Ezra 01-11-2008 02:19 PM

risky but interesting - had to watch it

jakethedog 01-11-2008 02:23 PM

absolutely the dumbest thing i have seen someone do ..

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 01-11-2008 03:04 PM

It's possible that it could have been a cleverly staged fake stunt by a film student.

Why I have my suspicions, is that there is no camera vibration from the train, and no dust or debris blowing into the lens.

If it is indeed a stupid kid playing a foolish game, then he gets the Darwin Award for the day.

Such a stunt could have traumitized the train engineer as well. :disgust

can you imagine the hours of therapy.

Poor guy

Trains have a pretty higher clearing, depending on the guard, the train itself can clear a cow laying between the tracks.

It's dangerous, but the rush is wroth it. This is less extreme / dangerous than other extreme activities, like 1000 foot climbs with no anchors, parachuting with no chute, or cave diving with no tanks, and the list is long.

Adrenaline, the drug of choice for us Marines!

Trixxxia 01-11-2008 03:38 PM

That's just NUTS!

gornyhuy 01-11-2008 03:56 PM

I call bullshit. It would be incredibly easy to fake that.

Yeah, you jump out of a plane with no chute and link on when you catch up. Everyone knows what is going on, it really isn't as dangerous as it sounds. You do hit the ground rather hard but the rush is pure amazing.

Really dangerous is tossing a grenade into water and everyone jumping in, last one up buys the booze.

Funny, that's how we fish in Kentucky.

Hollywood Horwitz 01-11-2008 06:06 PM

I'm not sure if I buy it either.Seem like the wind of the train would move him.

aico 01-11-2008 06:11 PM

Fake, train would have sucked him up, and it also would have hit it's brakes.

Virago 01-11-2008 06:11 PM

yes stupid

VicD 01-11-2008 06:21 PM

papill0n 01-11-2008 06:32 PM

The Sultan Of Smut 01-11-2008 07:04 PM

You know people who are engineers and don't hit the brakes as required by law when there is a body on the tracks? Wow, what are the odds?

Zango 01-12-2008 09:52 AM

I know a guy who used to do that. It can be done. The trains are pretty high off the ground, and there is no sucking or pull. Just a fast and very loud train over your head.

HOWEVER sometimes there are low hanging chains or cables that could hit you, catch you and drag you until you die.

Dagwolf 01-12-2008 11:59 AM

I hope my kids are smarter than that...

Spunky 01-12-2008 12:38 PM

Noway in hell would I ever do that..he's insane

pornask 01-12-2008 12:53 PM

that must have took some balls to do. Damn!

That was my first thought. Any advance planning is wasted if something is hanging down.

I think he did the best thing he could He checked to make sure there si not another train coming right after. It would suck if he successfully completed his crazy stunt, he'd get up only to get completely owned by the following train... :helpme

qxm 01-12-2008 02:06 PM

I hope mine are smarter than the people in this thread who think that is real, and "know" people who have done that.

That must be some really strong hair spray and one hella of a brand of starch in his jacket to just lay there like that as the trees sway but his hair and jacket don't move an inch.

Some of you guys are idiots and believe anything.

Mr. Websites 01-12-2008 05:45 PM

Well, real or not - I just hope others don't attempt to imitate it. :disgust
