Marion Jones - I think it was still worth it.

She's going to jail for six months which I think is a bit steep.. She used HGH and the clear big deal. She stole some checks in a huge scam and got caught. She lied to invetigators.. Thats why she is going to jail..

Meanwhile she had to give up her Gold Medals to people who came in 2nd..

Like to the man running behind her here in this pic.

As if that dude wasnt on Roids too.. Obviously more than Jones.

But think about it. Its still worth it right? Six months in jail. But to stand on the stage and get the gold. Its fucking worth it.

Just like Barry Bonds. Who cares if he goes to jail. If im him im thinking it was still worth it. To be on that grand stage and perform like that is like no other.

A few months or years in jail is nothing.. Sitting in jail they have to still realize it was worth it.

Stay Strong My Sister... And Brother Barry, Stay Strong...

It Was Worth It.

High Plains Drifter 01-11-2008 11:52 AM

I heard the gold medals aren't going to second place. Nobody gets the gold from that year.

boneprone 01-11-2008 11:53 AM

The manimal running behind her will be sad to hear that.

6 months isn't enough imo. Sounds extremely selfish to me. You forgot to take in consideration her cheating fucked the 2nd place finisher out of the gold medal, and the opportunity to stand in first place on the podium with the gold around her neck as her national anthem played. You cant replace a memory like that.
Too many self centered one way assholes. It seems nowadays it's all about "me" and fuck everybody else.
Sad really.

You forgot that the second place finisher is cheating too, but from another country where noone gives a shit about this.

Fuck this. Athletes and politicians need to be held to a higher standard. (It's bad enough Zoey Spears, a role model to children, is knocked up.)

It's bad enough Larry Craig gets busted for a sex crime, hides it from everyone, denies it happens, promises to resign, then decides not to.

We have athletes making millions of dollars, doing all kinds of neat drugs - roids and otherwise - killing dogs....

So here's the deal:
- Any politician convicted of a crime can never ever hold a public office again.
- Any athlete convicted of a crime (or even poor sportsmanship) is never allowed to play professional sports again.

See if that doesn't level out the playing field a bit.

Damn. You sound like you work for the Communist Government.

You are no fun. No fun at all.

Not to mention that she gets to keep the millions in endorsement and appearance money she has earned because of those medals. If I finished second to her and was actually not on the roids when I did it I might sue her on the grounds that if she were not roided up I would have won and it would have been me with much of that endorsement money.
