Anyways I've called, Icqed and even posted on the board........ Well I just got the statement for Sept, Yay another fucking charge....... Goes well with the other 6 that I never used........Cologroup get your ass in gear and refund me....... You dont respond to any of my icqs...... This is truly GHEY

Dude just fucking chargeback his ass if he doesn't listen. That's no way to treat a customer and will definately make me thing again about hosting with them.

Maybe 6 chargebacks will wake his ass up.

heymatty 10-01-2002 09:35 AM

Pipecrew is an adult webmaster he is morally opposed to chargebacks, even under severe provocation :)

cosis 10-01-2002 09:36 AM

Should have used other means of payment, then you don't have to send them shit.

Juge 10-01-2002 09:46 AM

You better chargeback ASAP, as there are time limits on that...

.:Frog:. 10-01-2002 09:46 AM

Isn't that illegal to continue billing you after you canceled?

Jimbo#1 10-01-2002 10:35 AM

I'd imagine that it's very illegal, and definatly just flat out WRONG!!!

I talked to Visa, I gotta get some Cancellation Number from him before I can chargeback, and I am willing to bet they never cancelled me like they said...... so that will be a fucking lost cause......... sooooo frustrating..... I even get nailed on the crappy exchange rate everytime he charges my visa

Scootermuze 10-01-2002 03:06 PM

The FTC loves cases like this....

JamesK 10-01-2002 03:09 PM

You could try the FTC, or see if you can get in touch with some American law enforcement department.

If they refuse to stop billing you, Its outright theft. It sounds weird for a company to do this. Are you 100% certain their isn't some miscommunication, or your on a contract or something?

Really hard to imagine a company with lots of clients would actually steal like this. Very very weird situation.

An idea - call them!!...Jason left his cell number on this board. Talk with him again.

This isn't actually unheard of. A couple of years ago there were a handful of companies that were constantly doing this.

However, I find it odd that they want a "cancellation number". That doesn't make any sense. You need the cooperation and "permission" of the company you want to large a chargeback against? That can't be true because no one would EVER give you that cancellation number if they knew there wasn't shit you could do without it.

I had the exact same problem a year ago not with cologroup though but with some other host. Called my bank and they e-mailed me a form I had to fill out. Mailed it back and got my money back not to long after. VISA has to give you back your money. It's all one the company who charges you. It's like this with all transactions that don't contain a signarture

Dildozer 10-01-2002 05:19 PM

Wow is cologroup hanging out with the guys from Fiercehost.com? They probably have drinks together and find new ways to fuck people over.

Pipecrew 10-01-2002 05:27 PM

Visa is useless for a chargeback to happen they send you out a form like 5 weeks after you say you wanna charge something back, you have to fill it in, send it back, they investigate and you find out like a month after...... I think a refund would make both parties happy, but apparently thats too difficult

What is your account name under. I remember deleting your account, so you should not have any bills. If you do have a charge on there, post your account name and I will give you the credit.

Pipecrew 10-01-2002 06:14 PM

hopefully all is settled now, he said I've been refunded as of today, so I will know soon enough :thumbsup

pimpshost 10-01-2002 06:24 PM

There was a confusion with the account name, once we figured out the correct account name, it was taken care of. I credited all the way back to June, since that was when the account should have stop billing.

One question, isn't your response on the slow side? Months?
