I guess you could describe it as a shooting sport. You run through a course and shoot at targets and are scored based on accuracy and time. Theres videos on YouTube if you search for "IPSC".

If you are going to shoot that in matches, you better have a sweet ass pistol and shotgun setup to match. The optics can push you up in with the guys with race guns and shit.

I never put optics on my rifle when I was shooting 3 gun matches for that reason. I can't keep up with those guys with my stock pistol and shotgun.

Congrats on the new purchase! :thumbsup Sig is a great brand name. I love my P-226. But how about some real specs. Is this a piston driven gas system? I was curious about the twist rate on the barrel also how long is the barrel? 16" or 18"? What caliber is it chambered for exactly? SAAMI spec, mil-spec, wylde chambering? Either way -I wouldn't mind having that piece in my arsenal but I'd change that crappy grip with a Magpul MIAD pistol grip and the Magpul M93b stock (maybe even a Magpul enhanced trigger guard). Of course all in black. But that's just me. Once I have enough posts up I'll post some pictures of my rifles. *REAL* pics I took. Not pics taken from websites that I see posted so often.
