I Can't Get My Fucking PS3 Online !

:angrysoap

3 weeks i have had it and it still won't connect. I get halfway filling out the registration forms for online play, when i get a failed server error from them.

I don't think its anything to do with my router.

Anyone else had as much trouble as me ? :(

You need to poke around in Your router's config, either:

1: Set up NAT port forwarding on Your router for the PS3 - it's firewalled in this case.

2: ...or assign a static LAN IP address to it (by it's MAC address) & set that IP into the DMZ (De-Militarized Zone) - not firewalled in this case.

If You go with the first option, these are the ports to forward to the PS3 in the router:
UDP 3478 - 3479 (STUN; Simple Traversal of UDP through NATs)
UDP 3658 (Playstation Network)

Either option should take care of it :)

I'll give it a try!

I've actually taken the router out just now. It was fucking with my internet connection aswell. Which fucking sucks!

Might actually take it back and change it for another one tomorrow. Not sure if it will make any difference though...

Alright - in any case, just go with the "DMZ option" as I posted... unless You're really familiar with port forwarding etc.
It'll be the least difficult way behind a router.. :thumbsup
