We don't overload boxes .... and we do upgrade them on a regular basis .

If you are looking for good Virtual hosting I would contact DirectFiesta or Naked Hosting,:2 cents::2 cents: stay away from the others that were mentioned, this is based on numerous threads I have read on boards.:2 cents::2 cents:

I just took a look at Host Gator and had a nice on-line chat with a sales person who answered all my questions. They look very impressive.

I recently registered a bunch of domains with GoDaddy and was going to use them for hosting but now I may not.

Any opinions on GoDaddy vs. these others?

evildick 01-09-2008 08:01 PM

I'm just wondering how good hostgator could be for $4.95 a month.

Anyone actually use hostgator and find them to be good?

If you were talking to me, I wasn't really looking at spending anything. I already use phatservers and couldn't recommend them enough.

But I see a lot of people recommending hostgator all the time, and for $5 a month I wouldn't mind trying them out to get some of my blogs spread over different IPs.

I guess my question is, is it possible for a host to offer reliable hosting for $5 a month for blogs and free sites? My guess would be NO.

There's no point in using a host (no matter how cheap) if they don't have good uptime. So I am just curious if anyone actually uses hostgator or if it is just paid sigwhores that always recommend it.
