Anybody ever been to Morocco?
 

I'm going there next month (Agadir). Any tips? Sights to see?

nope, never been ther... but have fun i guess

Ive travelled alot but never seemed like a place that really appealed to me any reason for picking Morocco?

I was near that, in Tunis.
I know they are very different but as a pothead I know some of Morocco (close friends were there):
- dont walk around alone without experienced guide, you'll be scammed soon. Very soon.
- Dont buy hash on streets - EVERYBODY will offer you that
- Dont take nothing with yourself you would regret if lost/stolen.
- DONT FORGET TO BRING A TOWEL!!! ;)
- Very nice places, with pro guide you'll feel fine.
- Everybody will want you very much to spend money
- Dont have too much cash
- Visit smaller places instead of crowded ones

I picked Morocco because it was cheap ;) Also I wanted to get out of Europe and see a different culture, but still keep a relatively short flight.

Morocco is cool, and you should do fine with the above advice. Been there a few times and have an off-plan apartment in northern morocco being built right now.

Yes, I loved it. Didn't go as far south as Agadir though. We went from Ceuta (spanish enclave bordering with Morocco) through Chefchaouen and a few other places to Fez, by shared taxis (=6 people plus driver, me + gf on front passenger's seat).

Keep cool with the hustlers. If you intend to buy stuff, bargain down to the extreme.

Moroccans are very friendly people, you'll love it.

Been a couple of times. The country as a whole is very raw and poor however the hotels can be impressive being that tourism is key to their growth. North Africa is also rich with history if you like that type of thing.

I've never been there however I have many Maroccan girl friends living in Italy...imoh they are the most beautiful and sensual of the world, but they can be very crazy too. Some of them told me that one great place to go for girls catching is Casablanca, it's not the most beautiful city but there are many discobar full of amazingly sexy young ladies dressed like they could never do during daytime on the public streets. Have a great vacation!
