Do u vote twice in the primaries?

I dont get it at all.....

Do u have 1 Rep and 1 Dem vote?

Or just have 1 vote to use on Dems or Reps - wouldnt that make it an election?

No you can only vote ONCE. In most states if your an indpendant you can't even vote in the primaries at all. Even though I'm an independant that's the way it should be. Obama only won Iowa and was only close to Clinton in NH because of the indpependant vote. Logically if you're not a dem or repub why should you be able to vote to see who will win the dem or repub nomination? It's not your party.

I do get what you are saying - but if its one vote one person why not just count them up and call it an election?

Its not like you are voting in a local govt. as we do in the UK.... U may like a right local party but nationaly a left - I still dont get it.... :Oh crap

Almost half of the primaries are open.
