I had a friend who got tasered by the police & then had to be rushed to the hospital!
I think 50,000 volts might be a bit too much for the brain &/or heart. imho |

Every cop on the street has been tased before. If they can take it, I can take it.
My buddy almost tased me the night we went out to celebrate me getting fired, he almost pushed me in the back of his squad car and tased the shit out of me, but I guess I was too drunk. It wouldn't have the same appeal if I didn't remember it I guess. |

Only personal :2 cents: - hate all that shit. Unless you know what you are doing it can cause serious problems - and on the law of averages can actually be used against you by a half-competent crook. Got my own "in-house bodyguard" in the the form of a family member and she has plenty experience (LE firearms and self-defense instructor in her earlier years) and knows all about killing in her later career - sadly. It's not a thing the average member of the public would want to know about - believe me and better to just keep life simple and avoid hassle. |
A friend of mine got a pair of the new commercial personal use tasers for christmas. We were messing with them.
These aren't the ones that look like pistols, these have sort of a science fictiony look... http://www.popularmechanics.com/blog...s/4212944.html A small laser pointer sight is built in, it fires cartridges that cost 20 each. pretty snazzy. A little more than $300. |

With the number of people who have died from being tasered lately, I'm surprised they don't count as "lethal force" yet. :(

Are these the same tasers that cops use or are they weaker in power?

Now if you taser someone and they die are you up for murder at that point?

I have one.. had it for years

It fires the same replaceable cartridge used in police tasers. My friend fired it at another guy at a party, on a $100 bet - the guy fell over instantly, stiff as a board, and cracked his head, got a concussion. Afterwards they realized that there are instructions that say if you are going to test it on a person, make sure that person is supported by something, because falling down and smashing your head is common during testing. When fired, along with the darts, the cartridge sprays out 'confetti' that is serial numbered - so if you fire it, it sprays identifiers around the site. |
I saw a commercial last year that they tazer companies were tazing reporters n shit who asked to be tazed to feel its effects.
BTW yes I have one I keep with my scooter and my spray. |
While I was in Mexico I met with a friend of mine who lives down there. He had a tazer pen. It looked pretty close to what Epassporte was giving out 2 years ago. That solid metal pen with a led light and a laser light.
Only it just had holes there and when you slid the clip up like hitting the power on a pre-maglite flashlight it was engaged. Two prongs moved up through the holes. Now push the clip in and BAM! 50,000 volts... How in the fuck you pack that many into this little pen I dunno... But I can attest that it did hurt, short out your system and work on a 230lbs man. |
I have a 9mm,
Not sure tazzin me would be in your best interest. Honestly if you tazz some one and they get up you may die, if they die you go to jail forever so why bother. |
I carry a pair of brass knuckles. The batteries never need replacing
|
no, I can't say that I do
