Hey it worked for me in Jr high renting videos but I got 5.00 a pop plus a blank vhs tape. Each tape had 2-3 movies as I recorded them on the SPL or whatever it was that allowed close to 6 hours of recording.

My dad bought the satalight dish and had some dude hook him up with a descrambler that gave us all the stations for free. I found American Exxxtacy which showed full penetration hardcore porn 24/7. I set my alarm for midnight and had another for 5am. At midnight I would load the VCR and set it to record the movies and yes I programed it each night so it would skip the commercials. Then at 5am I would wake up take the tape out, change the channel to another satalight. Then go outside and grab my stacks of newspapers and begin to roll and band or roll, band, and bag em. Slammed an apple juice (better than coffee for waking you up). Delivered all my papers as the rules stated they had to all be delivered by no latter than 6am or you would get a complaint, 3 complaints in 6 months and you get canned. Take a shower, eat breakfast. Go over my porn movie request list, grab some extra tapes and head to school.

At school I would fill my orders collect my blanks and my money. Tell them about the new movies. I also leased several peoples lockers full time, I had only key to the locks. Most were full of tapes and my books that were close to that class. Amazing someone would give up full use of their lockers all year for 20.00 but oh well.

My total investment to start was 3 vhs tapes. The rest was history. Specially since I made them give me a blank as part of the rental. I also gave a rats ass about late fee's and crap. I only got on someones jock if they had a tape someone else wanted. Wish I could of figured a way to have had a spare VCR in the house so I could dub extra's of the popular tapes but alas it would of raised questions and my parents had no need for two VCR's and our massive entertainment center would of made it near impossible to safely dub tapes without getting caught.

It was just opportunity really, without that dish and descrambler and my parents never discovering any naughty channel worst than playboy or spice which were ok by them for me. They never minded much if I saw nudity or R rated flicks once I hit double digit age range.

I was just a work whore really. Nearly everything I did was about money at the time. Had my tape rentals, my paper route which I hated and was grueling, selling USA today door to door at night monday through friday.
