The Wire is the best show on tv, its a shame this is the last season.

i dont purposely buy most series on dvd, but i have all the previous seasons on dvd. it is a shame that its gonna be the last one. they are going out with a bang though.

sadly there aren't going to be many other season premieres of anything really since the writers are all still on strike, so that makes this one even more special.

I wish they'd gone ahead and replayed all the Wires going back to season 1 so some of us late-comers could catch up.

they had a marathon here a few weeks back, and tonight they have a special before the premiere called The Wire Oddessey that is gonna take the last seasons and recap them. also if you have HBO on demand they are in there, and blockbuster rents the previous seasons as well. best show i've ever watched, ever.

That "City" is disgusting. I am so glad that I moved to LA.

My ex and I moved to Baltimore in 2005 when she got in The University of Balitmore Law School.

I wish I could say they make Baltimore seem worse than it is but they don't.

I was partners at a restaurant/bar in Canton, one block off the water in what is the nicest part of town. Our bar was broken into 3 times; including once when the guys who broke in, while being cashed by the police, caused a crash in which several people died.

I've heard this is similar to The Shield, true?

the wire is hands down the best tv show ever. cant wait to see what happens this season. i watched the first episode on demand the other night, it was really slow but im sure the season is going to be great.

its kind of similiar. the wire is way more realistic. its a lot slower and doesnt have the same type of action the shield has. both are great shows. if you like the shield watch the wire from the start, but give it 3 or 4 episodes if you dont like it at first.
