NH GOP Drops Sponsorship Of FOX News Debate

Quote:

The New Hampshire Republican Party dropped their affiliation with a Republican debate sponsored by Fox News tomorrow night because they have limited the number of candidates that can participate.

?The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field," said Republican chair Fergus Cullen. "Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures."

The Fox debate is excluding Texas Congressman Ron Paul even though he polls higher in New Hampshire and has raised significantly more money, and is campaigning more in New Hampshire than Fred Thompson who is invited.

Of course we ALL know how fucked Fox News is. But they're just taking it to new levels now. Shit like this needs to be put to an end.

Good stuff. Politics is so fucked these days.

fox snooze is bullshit... I love the fact that John Edwards boycotted them... it was funny hearing Chris "whatever-his-name-is" from Fox whining about it the night of the Iowa caucuses.

Fox is riding Giuliani and Thompson as hard as you ride traffic cones.

The thing is, they are probably going to accomplish the opposite. Fox doesn't like Paul, and having him in the debate would have been minor attention to him. Now every major news network is going to carry this story.

I'm actually amazed this hasn't been more of an issue. I figured with all those die hard Ron Paul supporters they would be out in mass trying to boycott Fox News.

I hear there will be a BIG protest in WOW!
