Ron Paul's Income Tax Repeal....

Will never fucking happen. The federal tax code is used to control our behavior and congress will not relinquish that control regardless of the parties in control. Regardless of how good his ideas may seem.. he is still a little goofy ass nerd that will never get elected because he has to appear on TV and he is a nerd!

especially when he cant give a straight answer how he is going to make up the loss of revenue.

Pleasurepays 01-04-2008 11:07 PM

he says constantly all the various ways he will cut government spending to make up for it (closing foreign bases, withdraw from afghanistan/iraq etc etc).

personal income taxes are about 30%-35% of federal revenue... but its a little insane to make the promise that he's going to do it on day one of being in office.

personally, i would prefer to know there was a well thought out plan other than "i'm a strict constitutionalist" and fuck everyone else and fuck the consequences. this is what his supporters don't get. its not the "idea" thats flawed.. its his delivery of those ideas and his general attitude thats flawed.

Perot of 2008. Just a fad.

His reply doesn't matter.. It will not change until drastic action is takin. Congress has too much power invested in the federal tax code. That's 435 people on different pages that you need to get on one page.

Aside from congress' controlling powers - Income tax compliance is a multi billion dollar a year operation. With a flat tax, or anything simple, thousands upon thousands of tax preparation personnel will be unemployed and have no other viable skills. This is not going to happen.

Well how did we do it from 1787-1912?

V_RocKs 01-04-2008 11:59 PM

We didn't have welfare back then. THAT is why we need an income tax.

1 out of 20 eligible workers in America are unemployed. 1 in 20!

That is because 1 in 20 people are communist fuck heads that cry because it isn't their fault they were born and they don't want to work. Welfare is bullshit. 1 in 20 of them could be doing the jobs we import people to do. Fucking disgrace!

its totally irrelevant.

the question in 2008 is "how are you going to save over 1 TRILLION DOLLARS just to break even and still not even tackle budget deficits"

Snake Doctor 01-05-2008 12:13 AM

Neither will Huckabee's so called "fair tax"

Until we get the lobbyists and their money out of Washington our tax code will continue to be the clusterfuck that it is.

The reason we call it "tax code" is because "love letter to corporate lobbyists" didn't go over very well in the focus groups.

Hey, great point.
We weren't dependent on foreign oil during that time period either, maybe we should all go back to horses and buggies too?

collegeboobies 01-05-2008 12:25 AM

LOL keep spewing hate about Ron Paul, go for it.

Huckabee wants a national sales tax instead of IRS, thats an "income tax repeal" as well, so go bash the winner not the 5th place guy, you must be scared.

Getting rid of welfare and ss and medicare would do most of it. Reduce military spending by not paying $200 for hammers you can get at home depot for $15 and $5 per nail. Stop paying farmers NOT to grow food. WTF even republicans support this crap. What about the "free market" deciding things?

charlie g 01-05-2008 01:02 AM

It can't be done, he can't win. It's useless to fight because things are not going to change. Give me more of the same please. I did hear that Obama was planning a tax credit for lube so it won't be so painful at tax season after he gets his way. And I am glad I have a hard drive full of porn cause huckleberry is going to end nakedness and satan. Maybe when hilary gets in we can at least watch lesbian porn, so my vote goes to her.
