Is it right to write "thanks for jerking" or its better to write "thanks for jerking off"... it'd be something like slogan

Either one would be completely acceptable (I mean as acceptable as thanking someone for jerking can be).

So without the "off" it'd still be correct, wouldn't?
or without it, it's losing the point

Jerking off is pretty much on the button, leaving out the "off" can still be considered correct but it does hint more at jerking around which could lead to confusion as has been pointed out above.

Although "thanks for jerking off" does sound a little weird?
