How do I get a dynamic ip?
I have fiber and with that comes a static IP, my friend has DSL and wants to change his IP because he got banned from ebay and need to start another account but they have his IP banned, any way around this? When I had a DSL modem my IP changed everytime I shut it off, it doesnt for him though, not even after 24h.
Thankful for anyone with abit of insight in IP adresses and isp's |

If he is behind a router he has to cut the router connection. It keeps the line even if you are not running your PC. Usually most DSL connections are on dynamic IP.

I may be wrong... but..
Create a Dynamic Domain at DynDNS.com for free. Then to get around the router, a linksys in my case, allow DDNS under the set up menu. Choose DynDNS and type your domain. Fill in the blanks.. done I had to do this to be able to remote desktop a computer behind a router. |

Nicky: tell him to try and change the MAC address of his NIC (ethernet card), many cards' drivers allows changing that to a custom one.
(Hajar han inte hur han ska göra i Windows så kan han nog hitta nån guide på nätet, enkel procedur och det brukar få modem/ISP'er att välja nytt IP). |
Sign up with AOL. Problem solved.
