Looking to buy a chopper

What's a good bike company in South Florida ?

SinisterStudios 01-03-2008 01:06 PM

Dont buy one, build one. You can build one for usually 1/3 to 1/2 off the overpriced builders prices

I want to deal with someone locally here out of South Florida any recommendations ?

is that you ricky ross?

It's not South Florida but central.. Check out Bill Lane (seen on Discovery Channel many times). http://www.choppersinc.com/

The guy builds some bad ass bikes and started out in a wharehouse a few units over from mine. Now he hit the big times.

I think Wiseman built one last year, you should bug him if you're considering building.

Well lets see, im building a old school shovelhead bobber for less than $12k , to have the level of work done that im doing would cost twice what it is costing me for the entire project

Your time has no value? Did you already have the parts laying around already?

I have built a few, to be honest, you can go to a show and find the complete bike up and running cheaper. That's not saying you will have the same satisfaction, but if you would rather ride than wrench . . .

No, I wouldn't own a chopper if you paid me. My dad has though, he lives down there. I'm up here in Daytona.

To be honest with you I think you could get a better deal here. There are a ton places up here. This is like chopper central.

Sure my time has value, but its time im more than happy giving up. I spend alot less time on the boards and it has given me a ton of time to do lots of additional things, like build another bike and start some new business ventures.

Its amazing how much more time you have for projects once you stop sitting on these boards all day.
