I agree with the Doc, Nats is not perfect, but they have been through so much shit, constantly upgrading/tweaking/learning. All things some guy writing his new software will have to go through, because nothing is perfect, especially in software.

Errors suck, security errors really suck, lets get rid of these errors. You should setup an SSL Cert on your Program. So Webmasters can signup with ssn's and edit them, and be safe. And so Admins can log in and not get punked.

Security starts with securing yourself, even the small stuff counts.

well i have to admit that post was a bit strange but it was kinda taken out of context.

i think thedoc has been the most polite/straightforward of the nats cheering section. obviously he has some bias , but in general i think he has laid everything out fairly straightforward , perhaps with a bit of spin here and there but i think he has been fair

his point was no software is invulernable , this is true , i think how vulnerabilities are reported is also very important..

on one hand i tend to agree that this sort of thing can happen to anyone , on the other hand this wasnt a "hack" , this should never have happened.

the nats software did not get hacked .. nats got hacked , the software performed exactly how it was supposed to perform with a nats admin logged in. ( i should add only pertaining to the email data that was stolen )
