Ya, I remember seeing that happen before, a bunch of people were holding a funeral in WOW for someone that died in real life and a bunch of people came and raided it and killed them all. Harsh.

nico-t 01-01-2008 09:05 PM

lol so damn lame

justFred 01-01-2008 09:10 PM

I used to be the person that organized stuff like this.

Back in 8th grade when I used to play RS, I organized a "Freak Train", which consisted of a bunch of people going to the "makeover mage" and changing to the same ugly bald female character. Then we all followed each other and went from town to town, before going out to the "wilderness" and punching each other.

I'm a nerd, but that shit is fun if you can just let yourself have a good time.

Precisely the reason he does not stand a chance at winning the Republican nomination. Just how many active, voting Republicans do you think are wasting their time playing WOW?

The average WoW player's age is close to 30, IIRC... well beyond legal voting age, so probably quite a lot.

"From the survey data, the average age of the WoW player is 28.3 (SD = 8.4). 84% of players are male. 16% are female. Female players are significantly older (M = 32.5, SD = 10.0) than male players (M = 28.0, SD = 8.4). On average, they spend 22.7 (SD = 14.1) hours per week playing WoW. There are no gender differences in hours played per week."

Other surveys and studies of WoW demographics have shown similar results.

Probably the first and last time we agree on something.

How about stats on the important part of the question? I did not ask how many WOW players are over 21 living in their mom's basement, I asked how many were active, voting Republicans.

I am fully aware that there are geeks in every age group. That wasn't my point.

Must be a very well kept secret. You have a link to that or is it more of your bullshit desperation?

Ron Paul supports are far more dedicated then any other candidates. You can't deny that unless you are willing to disregard facts. He won the most straw polls. He has a blimp flying in Florida right now paid for by grassroots supporters. He is the only one to have record breaking contributions.

The other candidates are lucky to get a few supporters out of their homes.

You will see this in the primaries. How many non Ron Paul supporters even think of voting in the primaries?

Attack the facts because you can't disprove them? That is what has happened from the start. He is only growing because of it.

Funny, they have been talking about IA and NH coming up Tuesday, and not one mention of Ron Paul as even being a contender.

So I guess all of them?

You try to make people forget it! That is the only thing they can do.

Quote:

While most of the politicians vying for their party's nomination for President of the United States pay lip service to the nation's law enforcement officers, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is actually doing something to earn the respect and gratitude of America's cops, according to many police officers and organizations.

For example, the American Federation of Police -- with well over 100,000 members -- recently praised Ron Paul for introducing a bill that would help cops obtain topnotch body armor that would withstand rounds fired from most firearms. Rep. Paul's bill -- HR 3304 -- would amend the Internal Revenue Code to provide for a tax credit to law enforcement officers who purchase their own body armor.

"I urge all police officers and concerned citizens to contact their congressmen and ask them to support Rep. Paul's bill," said Deputy Sheriff Dennis Wise, president of the American Federation of Police.

"I would also like to applaud Congressman Ron Paul for his support and forward thinking in trying to help make law enforcement officers across our nation safer each day," said Wise.

I bet you will see the news is wrong. IA is a caucus. That gives Ron Paul the benefit. Will the people that live in IA sit and wait for a person they really don't care for that much? I doubt it. I may be wrong but we will see.
