West coast New Year question.

I've only celebrated New Year on the east coast. What happens on the west coast, the ball falls at 9:00 pm? That kind of sucks huh?

Actually, they show us re-runs from the 70's so Dick Clark is easier to handle.

Are you kidding? Watching Dick trying to count is the most interesting thing on TV on New Year's Eve...it's like when Jerry Lewis was sick, it was impossible *not* to watch for just a little while, just to see if they had finally realized how they were tarnishing the memories they're going to leave when they go.
